Welcome to NY RiverSports
With heavy hearts, the pier 66 community honors the life of our "patron saint", mentor, and friend, John Krevey, who passed away suddenly in February.
Through his work promoting free public access to the waterfront he gave so many community boating organizations their start, and through his ongoing generosity and support, he nurtured our growth even after our pier 66 groups had left the proverbial nest of the barge and moved next door to our very own boathouse. He continued to treat us like family, and we, as individuals, as community boating organizations, as park users, and as members of the general public, are the better for his life so well lived. We dedicate the 2011 boating season to his memory.
John, you will be missed.
